Description

A simple and quick no-knead bread recipe perfect for beginners. This recipe uses a Dutch oven for a crispy crust and soft interior.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add water and stir until just combined, forming a shaggy dough.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  4. After resting, the dough will be bubbly.
  5. Generously flour a clean surface and turn the dough out onto it.
  6. Gently fold the dough over on itself a few times.
  7. Shape into a rough ball.
  8. Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper and let it rest, covered, for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with the Dutch oven inside for 30 minutes.
  10. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven.
  11. Transfer the dough into the Dutch oven using the parchment paper.
  12. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  13. Remove the lid and bake for another 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  14. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
