Description

These vintage no-bake cookies are a classic treat. They combine chocolate, peanut butter, and oats for a quick and easy dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa powder in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for exactly 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add oats and mix until well coated.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper to cool and set.
