Ingredients
- 1 baguette, sliced diagonally
- 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush baguette slices lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp.
- Spread softened goat cheese evenly over each toasted baguette slice.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a sweeter glaze, simmer balsamic vinegar until reduced by half.
- You can add a sprinkle of black pepper for a little heat.
- If you don’t have goat cheese, cream cheese or ricotta can be substituted.
