Description

A quick and flavorful one-pot meal featuring succulent shrimp tossed with al dente noodles in a rich spicy garlic butter sauce. This dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner that’s both easy to make and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or pasta water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  5. Add the drained pasta, chicken broth (or reserved pasta water), and lemon juice to the skillet. Toss to combine and coat the pasta and shrimp evenly.
  6. Stir in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute other types of pasta.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes.
