Description
A quick and flavorful one-pot meal featuring succulent shrimp tossed with al dente noodles in a rich spicy garlic butter sauce. This dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner that’s both easy to make and satisfying.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or pasta water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
- Add the drained pasta, chicken broth (or reserved pasta water), and lemon juice to the skillet. Toss to combine and coat the pasta and shrimp evenly.
- Stir in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra spice, add more red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute other types of pasta.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes.
