Description
Quick and easy smashburger quesadillas. A perfect weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions.
- Season beef with salt and pepper.
- Form portions into thin patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook patties for 1-2 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
- Remove patties from skillet and set aside.
- Wipe skillet clean.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet.
- Sprinkle half of the tortilla with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, then place a beef patty on top.
- Fold the other half of the tortilla over the filling.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Repeat for the remaining quesadillas.
- Cut into wedges and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add your favorite burger toppings like onions, pickles, or ketchup.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
