Description

Smash Burger Tacos combine the best of both worlds. Enjoy crispy, flavorful tacos with all the classic burger toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese, quartered
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle slices, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Form the ground beef into 8 small balls. Place each ball in the skillet and smash flat with a spatula.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Place the quartered cheese slices on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Warm the tortillas.
  7. Place each burger patty on a tortilla.
  8. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, ketchup, mustard, and pickles.
  9. Fold in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the ground beef.
  • Use your favorite burger toppings.
  • Serve with a side of fries or onion rings.
