Description

Salsa Verde Chicken is a flavorful dish featuring chicken marinated in salsa verde and topped with pepper jack cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 2 tablespoons tequila
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix salsa verde, tequila, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour marinade over them. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  4. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  5. Top each chicken breast with a slice of pepper jack cheese. Close grill lid for a minute to melt cheese.
  6. Serve immediately.
