Salsa Verde Chicken is a flavorful dish featuring chicken marinated in salsa verde and topped with pepper jack cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup salsa verde
- 2 tablespoons tequila
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix salsa verde, tequila, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag and pour marinade over them. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Top each chicken breast with a slice of pepper jack cheese. Close grill lid for a minute to melt cheese.
- Serve immediately.
