Description
Classic Salisbury steak made easy with ground beef. A simple and satisfying family meal.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- 2 tbsp Flour
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into oval-shaped patties.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the patties on both sides.
- Remove patties from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, whisk in flour until smooth.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens.
- Return patties to the skillet.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until patties are cooked through.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- You can add mushrooms to the gravy for extra flavor.
- Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
