Description

Classic Salisbury steak made easy with ground beef. A simple and satisfying family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Flour


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into oval-shaped patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Brown the patties on both sides.
  5. Remove patties from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, whisk in flour until smooth.
  7. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens.
  8. Return patties to the skillet.
  9. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until patties are cooked through.
  10. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • You can add mushrooms to the gravy for extra flavor.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
