Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into finger-sized sticks
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Vegetable oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Rinse the potato sticks under cold water and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, toss the potato sticks with cornstarch, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Carefully add the potato sticks to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the potato sticks with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
