Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups small pasta shells
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add pasta shells, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until pasta is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Serve immediately.
