Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups small pasta shells
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add pasta shells, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until pasta is cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Serve immediately.
