This One Pan Creamy Garlic Chicken is a simple and flavorful meal. You can prepare it quickly in one pan for easy cleanup.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, until sauce has thickened slightly.
- Return chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice to the sauce before serving.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts.
- Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
