Description
Enjoy sweet potatoes roasted to perfection with a spicy hot honey glaze.
Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread sweet potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and slightly caramelized, flipping halfway through.
- While sweet potatoes are roasting, whisk together honey, hot sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Remove sweet potatoes from oven and drizzle with hot honey glaze.
- Toss to coat evenly.
- Return to oven for 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce and cayenne pepper to your spice preference.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or smoked paprika to the sweet potatoes before roasting.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
