Description
These Honey Garlic Chicken Bites are a quick and easy meal. They are perfect for a weeknight dinner or a party appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry over the chicken and toss to coat.
- Arrange chicken pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy chicken, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- You can also cook these in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
