Description

These Honey Garlic Chicken Bites are a quick and easy meal. They are perfect for a weeknight dinner or a party appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Add chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry over the chicken and toss to coat.
  5. Arrange chicken pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispy chicken, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • You can also cook these in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
