Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme


Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add celery and onion; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk in flour until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until there are no lumps.
  5. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
