Description

This High Protein Cottage Cheese Turkey Sausage Breakfast Casserole is a simple and delicious way to meal prep a healthy and protein-packed breakfast for the week.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown ground turkey sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked sausage mixture, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onions.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
