A flavorful and easy Ground Beef Korean Rice Bowl recipe. This dish features seasoned ground beef served over rice with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Toppings: sliced green onions, sesame seeds, kimchi, fried egg (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the ground beef and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Serve the ground beef over rice and top with your desired toppings such as green onions, sesame seeds, kimchi, and a fried egg.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
