Description

Enjoy this flavorful grilled carne asada steak recipe. It’s perfect for cookouts and easy to make at home.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Flank or Skirt Steak
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped


Instructions

  1. Combine orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, garlic, jalapeño, cumin, chili powder, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add cilantro to the marinade.
  3. Place steak in a resealable bag and pour marinade over it.
  4. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or up to 8 hours.
  5. Preheat grill to high heat.
  6. Remove steak from marinade and discard marinade.
  7. Grill steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness.
  8. Let steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  9. Serve immediately.

  • For best results, marinate the steak overnight.
  • Adjust grilling time based on the thickness of your steak and your desired level of doneness.
