Description

A quick and flavorful one-pan meal featuring tender chicken, creamy orzo, and a rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the orzo pasta and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  8. Stir in the cooked chicken and Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and the sauce has thickened.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
