A quick and flavorful one-pan meal featuring tender chicken, creamy orzo, and a rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the orzo pasta and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in the cooked chicken and Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and the sauce has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
