Description

A simple and delicious seafood casserole featuring a creamy sauce and a blend of seafood, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, crab meat)
  • 1 cup cooked pasta or rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta or rice according to package directions if not already cooked.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  6. Stir in salt, pepper, and mixed seafood. Cook until seafood is heated through and opaque, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Stir in cooked pasta or rice.
  8. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  9. If using, sprinkle with cheese and breadcrumbs.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.

Notes

  • You can use any combination of seafood you like.
