Description

A delicious and easy Honey Garlic Chicken Bowl recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Steamed broccoli, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Add chicken to the bowl and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Serve chicken over rice with steamed broccoli. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, simmer the honey garlic sauce in the skillet for a few minutes after the chicken is cooked.
  • You can substitute chicken breasts for chicken thighs, but thighs are more flavorful.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference.
  • Serve with your favorite vegetables.
