Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Steamed broccoli, for serving
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add chicken to the bowl and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Serve chicken over rice with steamed broccoli. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer the honey garlic sauce in the skillet for a few minutes after the chicken is cooked.
- You can substitute chicken breasts for chicken thighs, but thighs are more flavorful.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference.
- Serve with your favorite vegetables.
