A creamy, flavorful chicken dish cooked in a slow cooker. It’s rich, satisfying, and perfect for a weeknight meal or special occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (1 ounce) packet Italian salad dressing mix
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Cooked pasta, for serving
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and cream cheese until well combined.
- Pour the soup mixture over the chicken.
- Add the chicken broth and stir gently to coat the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker, or remove and shred, then return to the sauce.
- Serve hot over cooked pasta.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, you can remove the lid for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Add cooked vegetables like broccoli or spinach in the last hour of cooking.
- Serve with rice or mashed potatoes if you prefer not to use pasta.
