Description

A creamy, flavorful chicken dish cooked in a slow cooker. It’s rich, satisfying, and perfect for a weeknight meal or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cooked pasta, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and cream cheese until well combined.
  3. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken.
  4. Add the chicken broth and stir gently to coat the chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  7. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker, or remove and shred, then return to the sauce.
  8. Serve hot over cooked pasta.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, you can remove the lid for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Add cooked vegetables like broccoli or spinach in the last hour of cooking.
  • Serve with rice or mashed potatoes if you prefer not to use pasta.
