Description
Enjoy crispy chicken wonton tacos. They are a fusion of Asian and Mexican flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Drain excess oil.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface.
- Spoon a small amount of chicken mixture onto the center of the wonton wrapper.
- Top with cheddar cheese, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeno.
- Fold the wonton wrapper in half to form a taco shape.
- Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a clean skillet over medium heat.
- Fry wonton tacos until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of jalapeno to your spice preference.
- You can use pre-cooked chicken to save time.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or sour cream.
