Description

Enjoy crispy chicken wonton tacos. They are a fusion of Asian and Mexican flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil, for frying


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Drain excess oil.
  4. Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface.
  5. Spoon a small amount of chicken mixture onto the center of the wonton wrapper.
  6. Top with cheddar cheese, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeno.
  7. Fold the wonton wrapper in half to form a taco shape.
  8. Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a clean skillet over medium heat.
  9. Fry wonton tacos until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  10. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  11. Serve immediately.

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeno to your spice preference.
  • You can use pre-cooked chicken to save time.
