Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Stir in fresh basil. Serve immediately.
