Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  6. Stir in fresh basil. Serve immediately.
