Description
Tender, juicy pan-seared chicken thighs simmered in a rich, creamy garlic sauce. This easy one-pan meal is perfect for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat chicken thighs dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken thighs, skin-side down, until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is slightly thickened.
- Return chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon sauce over them.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For crispier skin, ensure chicken thighs are completely dry before searing.
- Adjust garlic amount to your preference.
- If sauce is too thick, add a splash more chicken broth.
- If sauce is too thin, simmer for a few extra minutes until it reaches desired consistency.
