Description

Tender, juicy pan-seared chicken thighs simmered in a rich, creamy garlic sauce. This easy one-pan meal is perfect for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken thighs, skin-side down, until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is slightly thickened.
  8. Return chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon sauce over them.
  9. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For crispier skin, ensure chicken thighs are completely dry before searing.
  • Adjust garlic amount to your preference.
  • If sauce is too thick, add a splash more chicken broth.
  • If sauce is too thin, simmer for a few extra minutes until it reaches desired consistency.
