Description

Enjoy this classic comfort food: Creamy Chicken Noodle Casserole. It’s easy to make and perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound egg noodles
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, peas and carrots, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add cooked noodles to the chicken mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with cheddar cheese and bread crumbs. Drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use leftover rotisserie chicken for this recipe.
  • Add your favorite vegetables to the casserole.
  • For a crispier topping, broil for the last 1-2 minutes of baking. Watch closely to prevent burning.
