Description

Enjoy this Creamy Chicken Mushroom Casserole. It’s an easy and comforting dish perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 10 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms, sautéed
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked rice or egg noodles (optional, for serving)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the shredded chicken and sautéed mushrooms to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let stand for a few minutes before serving. Serve over rice or egg noodles, if desired.
