Description

Enjoy moist and simple chocolate banana bread. This recipe is perfect for snack cakes and chocolate desserts.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients alternately with mashed bananas, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra moist bread, use very ripe bananas.
  • Add walnuts or pecans for added flavor and texture.
