Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Add shredded cabbage, salt, pepper, and thyme. Stir well.
- Cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
- Serve hot.

- For a spicier soup, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
