Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add shredded cabbage, salt, pepper, and thyme. Stir well.
  5. Cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
  6. Serve hot.
