Enjoy these crispy and spicy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites as a healthy and delicious appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free blend)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 2 tbsp melted butter (or vegan butter)
- Optional: Blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Add almond milk and mix until a smooth batter forms.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the battered cauliflower florets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a bowl, combine buffalo wing sauce and melted butter.
- Once the cauliflower is done, toss it in the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve immediately with blue cheese or ranch dressing, if desired.
Notes
- For extra crispy cauliflower, broil for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your preferred spice level.
- You can also air fry the cauliflower for a quicker cooking time.
