Description
A quick and flavorful pasta dish featuring spicy blackened shrimp.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz pasta
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Pat shrimp dry and toss with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until blackened and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
- Serve immediately.
