Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound pasta, cooked
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with the meat sauce.
  6. Pour mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
