Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 medium apples, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Place the sliced apples and onions in a baking dish.
- Arrange the browned chicken thighs on top of the apples and onions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith to prevent them from becoming too soft.
- You can substitute fresh thyme if available.
