Savor the rich flavors of Authentic Chicken Ghee Roast. This dish features tender chicken pieces roasted in ghee with a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tbsp ghee
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with turmeric powder, salt, and lemon juice for 30 minutes.
- Heat ghee in a pan. Add onions and green chilies; saute until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
- Add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and black pepper powder. Saute until fragrant.
- Add marinated chicken and salt. Cook until chicken is browned.
- Cover and cook until chicken is tender and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or roti.
Notes
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Use fresh ghee for the best flavor.
- You can add a splash of water if the mixture becomes too dry.
