Description
Sheet pan tacos are a simple, flavor-packed dinner solution perfect for weeknights, parties, or meal prep. Baked in the oven for maximum crispiness and minimal cleanup, this taco method transforms your favorite ingredients into an all-in-one, crowd-pleasing meal.
Ingredients
- 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- 1 lb ground beef (or chicken, shrimp, or beans)
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or blend)
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Sour cream, salsa, guacamole, cilantro (optional toppings)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Cook the filling: In a skillet, brown ground beef with taco seasoning, onion, and garlic. Cook until fully browned and fragrant.
- Assemble the tacos: Warm tortillas slightly, fill one half with cooked meat and shredded cheese, then fold in half. Arrange them on the sheet pan.
- Brush and bake: Lightly brush tortillas with olive oil. Bake for 12–15 minutes, flipping once halfway, until crispy and golden.
- Add toppings and serve: Garnish with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
Notes
To keep tacos crispy, avoid overfilling and space them evenly on the pan. For extra crunch, bake uncovered and flip once halfway. Swap the protein to suit dietary needs—chicken, shrimp, jackfruit, or beans all work well!
