Description

A simple and flavorful sheet pan dinner featuring chicken and green beans baked with garlic and Parmesan cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken pieces with 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. On a large baking sheet, spread the seasoned chicken in a single layer.
  4. In the same bowl (no need to wash), toss the trimmed green beans with the remaining 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil.
  5. Arrange the green beans around the chicken on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the green beans are tender-crisp.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken and green beans.
  8. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  9. Serve hot, with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • For crispier green beans, you can roast them for 10 minutes before adding the chicken to the pan.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
