Description
A simple and flavorful sheet pan dinner featuring chicken and green beans baked with garlic and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken pieces with 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- On a large baking sheet, spread the seasoned chicken in a single layer.
- In the same bowl (no need to wash), toss the trimmed green beans with the remaining 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Arrange the green beans around the chicken on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the green beans are tender-crisp.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken and green beans.
- Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Serve hot, with lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- For crispier green beans, you can roast them for 10 minutes before adding the chicken to the pan.
- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Feel free to add other vegetables like broccoli florets or bell peppers.
