Description

These Viral Crispy Onion Rings Chips are a low-carb, cheesy snack made with just two simple ingredients. Ultra-thin onion slices baked to golden perfection on a bed of melted parmesan create an irresistible crunch. Perfect for keto diets, party platters, or guilt-free snacking anytime.

Ingredients

  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced into 1/4-inch rings
  • 1 cup freshly shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • Optional: fresh chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the base: On the parchment paper, create small cheese mounds about the size of each onion slice.
  3. Add onion rings: Place an onion slice over each cheese mound and gently press down so they stick together.
  4. Season and oil: Lightly mist each ring with cooking spray or brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  5. Bake until golden: Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the edges are crispy and the cheese is golden brown.
  6. Cool and serve: Let chips cool for 10 minutes before removing. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with your favorite dip.

Notes

Use a mandoline slicer for even onion slices. Don’t overcrowd the pan—give each ring room to crisp. To make them in an air fryer, reduce the temperature to 375°F and cook for 6–9 minutes, checking after 6.
