Description

A simple and delicious one-pot pasta dish with a creamy garlic sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a student’s apartment.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine)
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for a lighter sauce)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine pasta, broth, minced garlic, and olive oil.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring, until sauce is creamy and heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, use plant-based cream and omit Parmesan cheese or use a vegan alternative.
  • Add cooked vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
