Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine)
- 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for a lighter sauce)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine pasta, broth, minced garlic, and olive oil.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring, until sauce is creamy and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
