Description

This One Pot Boursin Pasta is the ultimate creamy, garlicky, and herb-packed dinner that comes together in just 30 minutes with only one pot to wash. Perfect for weeknights, this dish delivers restaurant-quality flavor with minimal effort using soft Boursin cheese, pasta, and simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups uncooked short pasta (ditalini, penne, or macaroni)
  • 2 ½ cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 5.3 oz Garlic & Herb Boursin cheese (room temperature)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh basil and red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté Garlic: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Toast Pasta: Stir in the dry pasta and coat it well with the butter and garlic mixture.
  3. Add Broth: Pour in broth and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Make it Creamy: When pasta is tender and most liquid is absorbed, stir in the heavy cream. Reduce heat to low.
  5. Stir in Boursin: Add crumbled Boursin cheese and stir until fully melted and smooth. Add salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste.
  6. Serve: Let pasta sit for 2–3 minutes to thicken, then garnish with basil and red pepper flakes before serving hot.

Notes

Make sure the Boursin cheese is at room temperature for smooth melting. For added protein, stir in cooked chicken or shrimp before serving. This pasta thickens as it sits—add a splash of broth or milk when reheating leftovers.
