Description
This One Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a simple, hearty dish that combines tender chicken and buttery noodles all cooked in one pan. Perfect for busy weeknights, it’s rich in flavor and can be made in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. In a large pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Cook the Noodles: In the same pan, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant. Add the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Once simmering, add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions, until the noodles are tender and have absorbed the broth, about 8-10 minutes.
- Combine and Serve: While the noodles are cooking, slice the cooked chicken into strips. Once the noodles are ready, stir in the chicken slices and mix well to combine. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding grated Parmesan cheese or a splash of heavy cream when mixing the noodles. You can also substitute the chicken with another protein like shrimp or turkey if desired.
