Description

Rich, chewy, and intensely chocolatey, these one-bowl double chocolate brownies come together in under an hour with zero mixer and minimal mess. A double hit of cocoa and chocolate chips make them the ultimate easy indulgence for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prep the pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment or grease it well.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, melt the butter. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth, then add sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk well for 1 minute.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Fold in flour and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips: Stir in chips, reserving a few to sprinkle on top if desired.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and serve: Let cool before slicing into squares. Enjoy warm or store for later!

Notes

To make these gluten-free, use a 1:1 flour blend or almond flour. For dairy-free, swap butter for coconut oil and use dairy-free chips. These brownies also freeze well—wrap and store for up to 2 months.
