Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa, rinsed
- 1½ cups water or low-sodium vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon salt (optional)
- Optional add-ins: garlic powder, bay leaf, lemon juice, or fresh herbs
Instructions
- Rinse the Quinoa: Place the quinoa in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cold running water for 30–60 seconds to remove bitterness.
- Load the Instant Pot: Add rinsed quinoa, water or broth, olive oil, and salt to the Instant Pot. Stir gently to combine.
- Pressure Cook: Seal the lid and cook on High Pressure for 1 minute. Allow a natural pressure release for 10–15 minutes.
- Fluff and Serve: Once the pressure is released, open the lid and fluff the quinoa with a fork. Serve warm or allow to cool for storage.
- Store for Later: Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months in airtight containers.
Notes
