A flavorful and satisfying Ground Beef Sweet Chili Bowl recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can corn, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in garlic, kidney beans, corn, diced tomatoes, sweet chili sauce, chili powder, and cumin.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through and flavors have melded.
- Serve over cooked rice.
- Top with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, or avocado.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of sweet chili sauce to your preference.
- For a spicier bowl, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- This recipe can be easily doubled or tripled to feed a crowd.
