Description

A flavorful and satisfying Ground Beef Sweet Chili Bowl recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can corn, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic, kidney beans, corn, diced tomatoes, sweet chili sauce, chili powder, and cumin.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through and flavors have melded.
  6. Serve over cooked rice.
  7. Top with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, or avocado.

Notes
