Description

These Easy Taco Cups are a perfect bite-sized appetizer, ideal for parties and game days. They are simple to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground meat over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  4. Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, forming a cup shape.
  5. Spoon the taco meat mixture evenly into each wonton cup.
  6. Top each cup with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted.
  8. Let the taco cups cool slightly in the muffin tin before removing.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, use black beans or lentils instead of meat.
  • You can prepare the taco meat mixture ahead of time to save on prep.
  • Ensure wonton wrappers are pressed firmly into muffin cups to hold their shape.
