Creamy Mushroom Parmesan Chicken is a simple yet flavorful dish. It is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and garlic to the skillet. Cook until mushrooms are softened and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until sauce has thickened slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
