Description

A simple and delicious pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp in a creamy lemon garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound linguine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet. Add cooked linguine and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Stir in fresh parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
  • You can substitute other pasta shapes like fettuccine or spaghetti.
  • Ensure shrimp are not overcooked to maintain tenderness.
