Description

A quick and flavorful shrimp dish cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.
  8. Stir in the chopped parsley.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes with the garlic.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
  • Optional: Add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end for brightness.
